Hello! My name is Jacki Chaplain and I am the owner of Works of Whimsy Crochet Co. In this case, the “co.” stands for “collective” because the fiber art community is a collective of lovely humans who appreciate everything from whimsical amigurumi designs to cozy knit blankets. My business, Works of Whimsy, is just one small part of that collective focusing on the aforementioned design of whimsical amigurumi <3! (Amigurumi is just a fancy term for stuffed toys).

I started my business in November 2022 simply selling my finished crochet items that were made using the patterns of various talented crochet designers! While that went well, I wanted more. I just couldn’t get enough of all things crochet!

I began attending local craft fairs and continued selling finished makes on my Etsy. However, I decided I wanted to document my experiences with crochet and launched my crochet YouTube channel. Now the channel semi-educational for newbies to the crochet game, as well.

Shortly after launching my crochet YouTube channel, I also began to design my own crochet patterns! They’ve been well received and I hope one day to join the ranks of my favorite crochet designers like All From Jade, Katie Being Creative, and Sweet Softies, just to name a few.

I’m definitely not finished growing my business either! Enter, this website! This website is being paid for by my YouTube channel! Here, you’ll be able to find all my free and paid crochet patterns, and maybe even the occasional blog post!
